La Cosecha is a new food hall / retail / event space venue constructed in DC’s Union Market neighborhood, spanning one story and a mezzanine level with Latin American retailers and operators. Modeled after the success of the nearby Union Market, La Cosecha (“The Harvest“) drew upon both DC-based and international businesses to set up shop.

Potomac Construction constructed the interior public spaces, which included the mezzanine level, a shared prep kitchen, two bars, restrooms and the exterior facade. Collaborating throughout the process with the above apartment building’s base building contractor, the Project Team juggled input from EDENS, the developer, and Gensler, the Architect, throughout.

Despite Potomac Construction’s expertise in Food & Beverage construction, this project was challenging and provided valuable lessons learned in the growing Food Hall sector.
