2022 EXCELLENCE IN CONSTRUCTION AWARDS

Potomac Construction is thrilled to announce that our hard work and dedication to building beautiful spaces was recognized at this year’s Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Metro Washington Excellence in Construction Awards on September 21, 2022, at the Ritz Carlton Tysons Center.

Potomac Construction won awards in two categories, both in the hospitality and food and beverage industry:

• Commercial/Residential Renovation ($1-2 million): Darcy Hotel Courtyard, Washington DC. Potomac Construction renovated the existing open courtyard plaza, expanding it into a 1,700 SF meeting room, complete with a skylight dome and contemporary design.  This project was unique to Potomac Construction, as it was one of only a few ground-up projects that we had worked on. 
• Restaurant Interior Build Out: L’Ardente, Washington, D.C.This 9,425 SF Italian restaurant has many unique design features, including custom-made chandeliers, a 5,200lbs gilded pizza oven, and arched ceilings and textiles. Situated over the 395 tunnel, the construction was both complex and highly collaborative involving consistent coordination from the design and engineering project partners.

The Excellence in Construction Awards recognizes and celebrates outstanding projects built by Washington-area ABC members annually.
